Bargain Basement Game Show consists of three rounds. The first round consists of 10 multiple choice questions. The first three questions in the round are worth one point each. The next four questions in the round are worth two points each, while the final three questions are worth three points each. Everyone who shows up at an episode will receive an Audience Participation Package. This package will contain four answer cards with the letters A through D on them, as well as a score card. When the host asks the audience for their answers, raise the appropriate answer card in the air so that the host and hostesses can see it. For each correct answer, the appropriate number of points will be added to the contestant's score card. A wrong answer will neither earn nor lose any points for the contestant. So it is in each contestant's best interests to answer each question, even if it is just a wild guess.
The second round of Bargain Basement Game Show consists of five multiple choice questions, each worth two points. The answering and scoring of questions are the same as for the first round. What differs is that all of the questions asked in the second round come in the context of an episode of The Bargain Basement Zone. Yes, the universally unpopular, critically criticized, and much maligned anthology television series is getting a second life as part of the game show. These episodes are usually parodies of well-established movies or plays, although, on rare occasions, the episodes will try something somewhat original. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
The third and final round of Bargain Basement Game Show consists of a single multiple choice question, but a correct answer to the question is worth five points. Answering the final question requires the ability to find a connection between a set of clues, and then using that connection to select the correct answer from the eight possible choices. This round incorporates the numbers that are printed on the answer cards. When answering the final question, make sure that the correct letter and number combination are facing the host and hostesses.
After the end of the third round, the host will survey the audience for their final scores. The top three scores will win prizes. All ties will be decided with a tiebreaker question asked by the host. Additional prizes will be awarded either before, during, or after the game show.
